Revolut Business: international business account for freelancers

Multi-currency business bank account for freelancers and companies

What is Revolut Business?

Revolut Business is the professional version of the well-known British fintech, launched to meet the needs of freelancers, auto-entrepreneurs and small businesses. Its main strength? A multi-currency account (more than 35 currencies) with highly competitive exchange fees at the interbank rate, ideal if you work with international clients.

What you can do with Revolut Business

  • Manage several currencies: receive, hold and exchange funds in more than 35 currencies with no hidden fees.
  • Create and send invoices: built-in invoicing tool with automatic reminders and recurring payments.
  • Get paid easily: accept payments by card, bank transfer, QR code, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay.
  • Flexible business cards: physical and virtual cards to manage your spending, with real-time control.
  • Accounting sync: connect your account to Pennylane, Indy or Sage to simplify your bookkeeping.
  • Business savings account: put your cash to work at a gross interest rate of 2% (variable).
  • Guaranteed security: deposits protected up to €100,000 via Revolut Bank UAB (a licensed European bank).

Revolut Pro or Revolut Business: which one should you choose?

Before getting to pricing, one key distinction for France: Revolut offers two different business accounts, and the right one depends on your legal status.

  • Revolut Pro: free (€0/month), designed for freelancers, auto-entrepreneurs and micro-entreprises (the French simplified self-employment statuses). It's linked to your personal Revolut account, doesn't require a Kbis (the French company registration extract), and covers the essentials: invoicing, getting paid (payment links, QR codes, Tap to Pay), expense tracking and cashback. It's the option for independents who are just starting out or don't invoice much.
  • Revolut Business: for companies (in France: SASU, SARL, SAS, or a registered EI with a Kbis). From €10/month, it adds a dedicated French IBAN, team management, higher transfer and exchange allowances, and advanced features.

⚠️ Important: in France, auto-entrepreneurs and micro-entreprises are not eligible for Revolut Business. Revolut Pro is the one that fits their profile.

Revolut Business pricing in 2026

Revolut Business (for companies) comes in four subscriptions, with no free plan. The free option is Revolut Pro, covered above:

  • Basic: €10/month excl. VAT, the entry-level plan, with a French IBAN, exchange at the interbank rate up to a limit, 1 physical card and 24/7 support.
  • Grow: €30/month excl. VAT, more transfers and exchange included, team management. Suits a small company that's getting organized.
  • Scale: €90/month excl. VAT, extended transfer and exchange allowances, for growing companies.
  • Enterprise: custom quote, for large accounts with specific needs.

Annual subscriptions get a discount compared with paying monthly. Note: the physical Revolut payment terminal costs extra (€95 to €189 excl. VAT depending on the plan).

Why choose Revolut Business?

Revolut Business stands out for its international focus. Compared with Qonto, Shine or Finom:

  • Multi-currency champion: unbeatable if you invoice in dollars, pounds or other foreign currencies. Exchange at the real interbank rate.
  • Very fast opening: account opened in a few minutes, 100% online.
  • Complete ecosystem: if you already use Revolut personally, everything is centralized in the same app with Revolut Pro.
  • Varied ways to get paid: QR codes, payment links, Apple/Google Pay... very handy for freelancers who sell online.

Limitations to know about

  • No overdraft
  • No business loans or French regulated savings accounts (livrets)
  • No cash deposits or check deposits
  • Support mainly by chat (no dedicated phone advisor)
  • Some accounts have a foreign IBAN (depending on the plan)

Our take on Revolut Business

Revolut Business is the obvious choice if you work internationally or need to juggle several currencies: on that front, exchange at the interbank rate is hard to beat. For a freelancer or auto-entrepreneur who's just starting out, we'd recommend Revolut Pro (free) instead: there's no point paying for a Business subscription until you have a company. On the other hand, if you're looking for more traditional banking support, an overdraft, check deposits or a dedicated phone advisor, other neobanks like Qonto will probably suit you better.
